So now you know why my TBR list is so out of control!
Buried family secrets is a great one! I especially love when it involves old letters or jewelry or something of the sort. I also agree with your choice of a gothic tale. Yes please! Have you ever read The Thirteenth Tale by: Diane Setterfield? I think you would like it. See if they have it at your library some time.
ReplyDeleteI have read The Thirteenth Tale & I loved it! That was definitely one I had in the back of my mind when I put a gothic tale on my list!
DeleteIt is such a good book! I knew that would be one you liked. ;) I read it in class in college and loved it.
DeleteI love all the words under your number 10! And who doesn't love an epic love?? Great list and thanks for stopping by my blog :)
ReplyDeleteI really am a sucker for a lot of things apparently! And you're welcome :)
DeleteSounds like a lot of my interests (reading and writing-wise) as well! No wonder we are never at a loss for a new book to read...
ReplyDeleteWe certainly aren't!
DeleteOMG this is so true, a bad synopsis can turn me away, but yes certain words like alpha-male,secrets etc will get me every time:) Thanks for the shout-out cupcake!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Kimba! This seemed to be the week of discussing our book weaknesses -- visual and otherwise :)
DeleteHaha love this! I'd basically pick up all five from the plot description section and I so cannot resist absorbing books. Great list! =D

I'm definitely a sucker for a book that promises to draw me in -- and if the author succeeds, all the better!
DeleteI'm usually wary of 'epic love' stories as so few of them end well! Also some publishers seem to use 'epic' as a code word for boring. :-(
ReplyDeleteI do hate when that happens, but when the author can deliver what is promised, I'm all for it :)
Delete"A rollicking ride"....LOL!...I don't think I have read that one just yet. LOL! I might pick that one up just because. The word "Secret" gets me too!
ReplyDeleteGets me every time! You'd think they couldn't surprise me at this point, but hey always do!
