Anyway, my latest (and hopefully last) is the 2013 Books About Books Challenge hosted by Justice over on Mint Condition. I found Justice's lovely blog when she signed up for my own Banned Books Challenge (a girl after my own heart!) It just so happens that several months ago I won a giftcard that I used to buy three awesome books that qualify for this challenge, but I never did get around to reading them. Combine that with a few others I've been wanting to read for a long time and the fact that I just reviewed a qualifying book last week and here I am writing a sign-up post! I'm aiming for the low end of level "Short Story" which is 6-10 books, because Lord knows I have enough other reading commitments already! This list may change, but here are the most likely candidates:

I've been trying to resist new challenges too! I think I'm going to wait until summer and if I've finished a bunch, ten I'll add more.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea -- I'm going to try to put my blinders on to all other challenges until I make progress on all the ones I'm in already!
DeleteHa! I skimmed the comments during a break at work today and I could not for the life of me figure out why you were putting binders on to challenges. Oops!
Deletelol that's pretty funny -- when I got the comment notification I couldn't remember what I wrote that you could have been referring to, and all that kept coming to mind was the stupid "binders full of women" business from the election. Don't ask why my brain went there, because I really don't know!
DeleteWelcome to the challenge :) So excited you are joining!

Thanks I'm looking forward to having a fabulous excuse to put some of these books at the top of my to-read list :)
DeleteI have the same issue. I join challenge after challenge. I think I am at 10. And I would love to join this one. But I need to stop. If I finish half of them by June then I will sign up for more. Good luck on ALL your challenges. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alysia! This seems to be a common book blogger problem...
DeleteYay another challenge addict. I'm a brand new blogger and I can't stop joining the reading challenges. I'm afraid I won't be able to complete most of them.

Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore I have yet to read this book, but I want to and it would count for this challenge. I'm going to pretend I didn't see this post and wait to join this challenge.
Welcome to the club Rachael! I love finding a fellow challenge addict. They're just so much fun and a nice way to get your reviews out there without being pushy or weird about it since you already share a common reading interest with fellow participants. I'll have to go check out which ones you're in already :)
