Bout of Books 11: Update #1

This week has been much busier than I anticipated when I signed up for Bout of Books, so I'm off to a bit of a slow start. As much as I love reading, life happens and I'm totally OK with that. I'm still enjoying my Harry Potter re-read very much and I'm plugging away at my audiobook mostly while going for walks since the weather has been so nice.

Monday-Wednesday Progress
Finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Started Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
157 print pages read
10% further along on my audiobook
Scavenger Hunt challenge completed

Also, I LOVE creating spine poetry, but just didn't have time to enter Alysia's challenge yesterday. I'm sharing my spine poem anyway even though it's too late to enter officially :)

I am forbidden
to enter
the City of Lost Dreams
under shadow of night

There are
back roads
dark places
the unseen

Don't breathe a word

  1. Thanks Jade! I love a creative challenge like a spine poem (and searching my shelves for material which makes good use of even all those books I haven't read!)

  2. I'm with you on the curve balls life throw you. I had to drop out of one of a read-a-thon in the past for that very reason!!

That's so cool you're listening to audiobooks. I've become addicted to listening to them in the past 2-3 years. In fact, I'm solely listening to audiobooks for Bout of Books and I think I've listened to more audiobooks this year then read physical books!!

Good luck with your reading/listening goals!!

  3. Holly cow that poem rocks! Great job! I am doing audiobooks as well. That way I can listen and work at the same time. Great job on the poem! Love it!
