Waiting on Wednesday (#28): Last in a Series Edition

With so many unread books on my shelves, I've been trying to hold off starting new series until all the books are published. There are exceptions, of course, but for the most part I've been deciding to wait. So here are a few series-enders I'm eagerly anticipating so that I can dust off the earlier books and binge-read from the beginning:

Expected Publication: July 15, 2014
All Souls Trilogy #3

Expected Publication: Nov. 4, 2014
His Fair Assassin #3

Expected Publication:
winter 2014-15 (UK) / US??
Advent Trilogy #3

  1. I've heard so many great things about the Grave Mercy series, but I have yet to read it. I think I tried starting it in Barnes and Noble one day but couldn't get my heart into it. Maybe I'll try again some time. :) Great picks!

    1. Thanks! It's on the schedule for my book club in the fall, so I'm pretty sure I will then end up reading the entire series -- they can't all be for everyone though, right?

    1. My local bookstore didn't have it in when I went the day after release day -- I'm going to have to check again or have them order it -- the hubby is re-reading the first book on audio to prepare for the new book. AND it turns out he never actually read the 2nd one I got him because he was so annoyed by having to wait that he decided to not continue until he could read all three straight through -- turns out we have that in common when it comes to book series!

  7. I still need to read Grave Mercy AND A Discovery of Witches myself but both have been sitting on my shelf for far too long so I need to get on that soon! I have a feeling I'll just love both of them :D I hope you can get your hands on ALL of these soon! Awesome picks ^^

    1. It seems to be on a lot of lists & even not having read the earlier books yet, I think I can understand why!

  9. I've been waiting for The Book of Life to release so I could read the 2nd installment. I had tried to read it previously but there is zero recap so reading them back to back would be wise. Cannot wait for Mortal Heart. I've already loved the previous installments so I hope you enjoy them too!

    1. I have heard about the lack of recap -- another good reason to have waited I think! Too much recap can be annoying, but none can be a problem as well. I think Grave Mercy is the book club book on our upcoming schedule I am most looking forward to and am glad by the time it comes around, I will be able to read #2 and #3 right after :)
