Waiting on Wednesday (#17): The Dark

On GoodReads, this book is described as, "Part mystery, part ghost story, part riveting historical fiction, The Dark ushers the reader into the shadowy border between longing and belief as it unfolds the incredible story of the famous and controversial Fox Sisters, Maggie, Katie, and Leah." I don't know about you, but I'm sold!

The Dark, by Claire Mulligan
Expected Publication: April 2, 2013 May 21, 2013

For some reason, this book strikes me as the kind of story Kate Morton fans would enjoy and I definitely count myself in that group. I'll have to wait a little longer to find out if my first impression is correct!

For more information, check it out on GoodReads.
Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine.

  2. Thank you for stopping by my blog earlier! Your post about not finishing a book really inspired me, and I felt like I wasn't in it alone! Its hard to just stop reading a book, because I feel like I'm letting someone down, or disappointing them. But really, I started blogging for my own enjoyment, and reading something I don't like isn't very enjoyable!

  4. Thank you for helping me with the captcha issue. I literally had no idea it was on and I feel so bad. I'm glad people were willing to comment on my blog with it on. I turned it off. This cover looks interesting although I'm not sure I'm interested in the book.

    1. You're welcome Rachael! It personally does not bother me either way, but I know a lot of people don't feel the same.

  6. P.S. I just found a new publication date for this one and updated the post -- I do hope that is the correct date. I just realized it's a book from Canada, but I'm really hoping the US is getting this one as well. Sorry for any confusion!
