For this week's Top Ten Tuesday hosted by
The Broke and the Bookish, we got a freebie! I'm doing a mix of favorite covers from both books I've read and books on my to-read list. Now, I know a lot of people take issue with movie adaptation covers, but I actually have a fondness for some of them. This doesn't necessarily mean I even like the movie, but if I like the actors (don't judge) and especially if I learn about a book
because it's being made into a movie, I do love a well done movie cover.

Those are beautiful covers. They say don't judge a book by its cover, but...yeah, I do. LOL Might have to check a few of these out!
ReplyDeleteI am so guilty of that too -- at least for first impressions!
DeleteI am a book cover snob...and often times will choose to read (or not read) a book based on the cover alone. And I agree on your choice for book cover of Water For Elephants. That is actually one movie that I enjoyed more than the book.

For me, the Water for Elephants movie was a good one time watch, but I loved the book sooooooo much more than the movie. I literally finished the book and wanted to start it over again immediately! A giant to-read stack stopped me from actually doing it, but it was mighty tempting...
DeleteI really did like the choice of actors though, so as I was reading the book right before the movie release, I had a picture in my head of what Jacob & Marlena looked like.
Ahhh Water for Elephants ♥ Loved the book, loved the movie and love the cover (especially the version you chose!) Wicked Lovely is on my reading list and the cover is SO gorgeous! The Winter Witch cover is also really pretty, I'd never seen it before! Thanks for sharing :) Old follower, here's my TTT

Winter Witch is still a pre-order, but was too pretty not to include it! Going to check your blog out now...
DeleteThose are beautiful covers. I find that the more I read e-books or listen to audio versions, the less I pay attention to covers.
ReplyDeleteI'm still a sucker for a book I can hold in my hands and turn the pages, so when browsing in bookstores, awesome covers still catch my eye. Thanks for stopping by!
Deleteahhh what amazing covers, and i will admit, i am totally that person who picks up and reads a book based on the awesome cover, and i will not read a book because it "doesn't look good " ;( thanks for stopping by our blog! great post . Katie @ Inkk

Awesome list - I really like the Mara Dyer cover.
ReplyDeleteI think the covers of the Fallen books are gorgeous! I'm obsessed with her hair in Rapture. It's so long and pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone, secretly, judges a book by the cover. You can't help but not to really!
ReplyDeleteSome lovely covers here. The Rose Garden and The Taker have really caught my eye.
